Kenworth T600 – Review
This is just a simple review of the Revell Kenworth T600. Revell number 7446.
The kit itself is simple and easy to build. Most of the parts just click into place. Others need some glue. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. The wheels can turn, but there are no steering front wheels.
The interior is simple. The chairs are fixed in place. I find this a bit of a pity. It would be nice if you could assemble the chairs. The dashboard is imprinted. You don’t need to paint the details on it because there is a decal for it. I have the feeling that the decals are a little bit thick. I was using the microset liquid to soften the decals so they could form nicely on the dashboard, but it did not get soft enough.
Or maybe I was using the microset wrong. The decals on the outside had the same issue. If you don’t know it, you will not notice it. For the rear mudflaps, there are two different decals. So you have a choice.
This model is what they call a curbside model. This means, that this model doesn’t have an engine. You also cannot open the front engine cover. This also means you don’t need to build an engine. Personally, I also found this a pity. But I understand that they wanted to keep things easy and simple.
This was my first truck model after many years. Before I was building the trucks in the scale 1:24-1:25. But at this moment, this scale doesn’t fit in my display cabinet. So I was “forced” to build this model in a smaller scale. Recently I bought the next truck model. Also from Revell and in the scale 1:32. The Kenworth Aerodyne.
