Camaro Z/28 1969 – Part 1
Camaro Z/28 1969 – Part 1
The Camaro Z/28 1969 is the second Camaro that I am building. The first one was the Camaro Z/28 from 1982 in the scale 1:8. Lego is not handling scales for their models. But after some research on the internet, this scale could be 1:14. So I will just use that.
It has been a long time since I built something from Lego and I was looking forward to start with this one. Somewhere I had read, that this model could be built in 5 hours. In my opinion, that is quick. I think it will take a little bit longer.
I am not in a hurry to build this. I just want to enjoy the time.
So far, things are going well. I had stretched the build a little bit. I only want to build a few steps per day. This way, I will not be finished in one or two days. It is taking some self-control. The build is so much fun, that I really need to slow myself down.
Here are the first images of the build.
A Few Details.
The Lego model/set number is 10304. It has 1456 parts and when it is built it will be 35,5cm long. In the box are 8 different bags with parts. The manual is 222 pages thick with 338 steps.
The main color of the model is black with a red/brown interior. During the build, you can choose if you would like to build it with red, white, or grey racing stripes. You also can choose if you want to build it with a fixed roof or as an open convertible.
Right now I am not sure yet what I will do, but I think I will put the white racing strips and as a convertible with the roof down. We will see.
