Porsche 911 Turbo/Targa – Part 2

The Porsche 911 Turbo/Targa – Part 2, from Lego.

I think this model’s build can be divided into three parts. The first part of the build is part of which both models are the same. I mean the chassis and the body are the same, so far. The second part is the build of the Porsche 911 Turbo model. The third part is the Porsche 911 Targa model.

After the first part, you can decide if you want to build the Turbo or the Targa model. As I mentioned in the previous post. I want to build a combination of both. The Targa model with the Turbo wing.

On a different website, I had seen a remark from someone, that you should build the Turbo model first, and then built the Targa model. When you build the mode I want, then you will find out that you will miss some parts. But you always can order them somewhere else. For now, I have no idea what those missing parts will be and what the part numbers are. I will find this out, during the build.

The disadvantage of that is, that when I know the missing parts, and I had ordered them, I need to wait for them before I can finish the model. I have no idea how long it will take after ordering the parts, ad receiving them. I will try to see if I can order them from a shop here in The Netherlands. I think that will be quicker than ordering them from Lego in Denmark. We will see.

So Far

So far, I am halfway through the first part of the built. Each day, my goal is to do around 15 building steps. I could do more steps, but then the build would be finished quickly. This way, I can stretch it a bit.

It is not easy to control myself, because every time I want to double the number of steps. It is not easy to control myself because it is a nice model to build. Only maybe two or three times, I did the double number of steps. I don’t want to go too quickly. I want to enjoy the moment.
