Porsche 911 Turbo/Targa – Part 1
Porsche 911 Turbo/Targa – Part 1
Porsche 911 Turbo/Targa – Part 1. First some details of this set. This is the Porsche 911 from Lego. It has 1458 parts, it will be around 35cm long. The parts come in 11 different bags. They call this a 2 in 1 set. You can build the Porsche 911 Turbo. Or the Porsche 911 Targa.
This will be different from the last kit that I built. The Kenworth T600.
This set is the second car that I have from Lego. The first one is the Camaro Z/28. After building that one, I was a little bit hooked on the Lego set. I still have a third one. The Ford Mustang. I will build this one later.
My Plan For This Set
As I mentioned, this is a 2 in 1 set. So you can choose which one you would like to build. So, which will I build? Mine will be a combination of both. I like the style of the Targa. This is some kind of cabrio. But I also like the big turbo wing of the Turbo. To build this, there are no real instructions for it. You have to think and build it yourself. In Lego terms, they call it a MOC. My Own Creation.
There is a special website that is called Rebrickable. On that site, you can find many MOCs. With instructions. But for this set, it is a little bit different. There are no real instructions. Only someone mentioned that he had built it. The advice was, to build the Turbo version first and then try to follow the instructions for the Targa. While building, you will find out, that there are a few parts missing. These parts you need to buy these separately. My only problem with this is, they did not give the part numbers with it. Only a short description of the part.
I already tried to figure out the part numbers, but I am not 100% sure. My plan is to first just build the Turbo version, then follow the instructions for the Targa and see what I am missing, and then try to order those parts.
We will see how this will go.
