More Lego
More Lego.
Yes, you had read it right. More Lego.
After finishing the Camaro Z/28 from Lego, I got a little bit hooked. When I found the Ford Mustang during the Black Friday deals, I thought it was a good deal, so I bought it.
Now, for Christmas, I got the Porsche 911 from Lego.
A 2-In-1 Model.
The set is what they call a two-in-one model. Or you can build the Porsche 911 Turbo, or you can build the Porsche 911 Targa.
It is almost the same as the Camaro Z/28. You could build it as a Coupe or as a Cabrio. That one, I first made the Coupe and made some pictures and that turned it into the Cabrio because that was the one I liked better.
For the Porsche. I am going for the Porsche 911 Targa Turbo. A combination of both. There are no good building instructions for that, but there is a special website called Rebrickable. Here you can find different models that can be built from existing Lego sets. The only thing is, that you will be missing some parts. Someone already made this model and mentioned which parts you need for it. And it is very easy to buy extra Lego parts. Now I only need to find the correct part number and then I can build the model I like.
Why the Porsche 911 Targa Turbo? I like the looks of the Targa, but I also like the big wing on the back. And only the Turbo has that one. And the engine of the Turbo looks nicer. So, that’s why this combination. And according to the Rebrickable website, this model really existed. So, that is the one I want to make.
Not sure yet when I will start the build. I still have several plastic kits that I also want to build, and there is also the Ford Mustang. I hope they all will still fit in our Display cabinet, but that is something for later to figure out.
This is Part Of A Collection/Series.
This model is part of a Lego series. The Creator Experts. For this series, it is a car collection. They have 5 different models.
The Aston Martin DB5 (James Bond), the Ferrari F40, the Ford Mustang, the Porsche 911, and the Camaro Z/28.
The last three I have now. The Ferrari F40 and the Aston Martin, as far as I know, are retired. But if you search the internet, you can still find them. Only they will cost more than what they cost before. And I am not sure if I also would like to have them. They are a little bit older, so the build is a little bit different.
