Fiat Abarth 695SS – Intro

The Fiat Abarth 695SS is the new project on the table. Well, the full name is Fiat Abarth 695SS AssettoCorsa.

This kit is from Italeri and the scale is 1:12. There is not much details or information on the box. I also tried to search the web to find some details or information, but there is none.

This is all I know so far. The model will be 25cm long. It is a highly detailed model. Openable hood and trunk. Open or closed top. Opening car doors. Steerable wheels. Working suspension. Rubber tires. Photoetched and chrome parts. There is not a real number of the number of parts, but if I check the instruction and add up all the parts per sprue, then I come up at 350 parts.

It is, what they call, a 2 in 1 model. You can make different models. There is the road version, called the Fiat Abarth 695SS. Or the track/race version called the Fiat Abarth 695 Assetto Corsa. I think I will make the track/race version. But I will see during the build what it will be.

I also made a test video. I still need to process it and see how it looks. I just tried to see the angle of the camera and the position of my tripod. If this looks okay, then I am thinking of making a video while I am building this model. It will be a multi-part video. But we will see how this goes.
