Ferrari California (closed top) – Part 2

In the past weeks/days, I did some work on the Ferrari California.

It has been some time since I did some work on a model, so it takes some time again. But every time I work on a model, it feels good. Now I did some work on the chassis and the engine. The chassis is very closed off, so you will not see much. They suggest to paint some parts, but you will not see them once they are in place. The parts that will be out of sight, I just left them in the base color.

I did some detailed work on the engine. It was not easy, but I am happy with the result. The thing I found a little bit strange is, that for some parts of the engine you need to use the color 99 Aluminium. And some other parts you need to use the color 90 Silver. For me, I don’t see much difference in the color. Especially if you paint Aluminium and Silver next to each other. You really don’t see it. Or maybe it is just me.

Anyway, we will slowly continue. Christmas is almost there and shortly after that, the New Year. So I am not sure I will do much work on the model. But we will see.
