Camaro Z/28 – Finished
The Camaro Z/28 is finished. This is the Lego model I built. The scale of this model is a little bit unknown. Even Lego did not mention anywhere what the scale of this model is. But I have read somewhere that this could be in the scale 1:14.
I searched the internet to see if I could find the length of the real car. If I then check the length of the model, I also ended up somewhere around the scale of 1:14. I had placed it next to the Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 which is in the scale 1:12. Then it looks like the Camaro should be in a bigger scale. Like 1:11 or 1:10. But I will just keep it on the scale 1:14.
For the building instructions, I first followed all the steps to build the coupe. My final goal was to build the cabrio. That one would look nicer. It is also easy, to change it from a coupe into a cabrio. The parts that are over, I will just keep them, just in case.
Lego
It was nice to build something with Lego. It has been a very long time but it was very nice to do this model. During the build, I had to pace myself. I had to slow myself down. I think, if I would just continue building it, then maybe in 1 day it would be finished. But I really wanted to enjoy the build a bit longer.
Maybe every day I spent 15-20 minutes. That was something like 10-15 building steps per time. I really enjoyed it. To be honest, right now it is almost Black Friday, and I am keeping an eye on any Lego offers. Mainly car models. I know that for this model, there should be around 4-5 different models. They are already running for some time. And I already saw that 1-2 models are already retired. It will be difficult to find those models and if you find them, they will not be cheap.
For now, I am happy with this one. Maybe one downside of this is, that it is taking up a lot of space in the display cabinet. I think I can place maybe one or two other models in the scale 1:24-1:25 next to it. Else it will be all alone on one shelve and that will be a waste of space.
What Will Be Next?
What will be next? I am not sure yet. I still have a few models in stock but I am not sure which one I will start.
In the previous post, I already mentioned that I also would like to build a truck again. Maybe first in a smaller scale and see if it fits. And then maybe try it in the regular scale 1:24-1:25. Again, it Is almost Black Friday and maybe there will be an early offer.
Closing.
I really enjoyed it to built something with Lego again. It took me back to my childhood. But even as an adult it is nice to do.
What my next model will be, I am not sure yet. For this week, I will take it slow and see if I can score something during the Black Friday deals. If not, then I will see what I will take from what I have on stock.
My advice. Lego is not only for children. Also, adults can and will enjoy it. If you get the chance, take it and try it yourself. But be aware, the official prices are not that low. Maybe in alternative shops, you can find better deals.
The Final Images.
